French luxury crystal products company Daum has one shop in Singapore, located within Capitol Piazza shopping centre (15 Stamford Road).
Founded by Jean Daum in 1878, the company has a unique heritage and know-how in the crystal arts that make Daum creations exceptional.
However, the luxury house keeps its designs contemporary, while respecting and staying true to the brand’s core spirit.
An example of this approach is Daum’s rediscovery pâte de verre in 1968, which it has perfected to modern tastes, reinforcing the company’s stellar international reputation for excellence.
Part of the brand’s core identity has also been their collaborative efforts with avant-garde artists, a tradition that continues to this day.
Over the years, Daum has collaborated with artists like Salvador Dali, Arman, Cesar, Dan Dailey, Andre Deluol, Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne, Paloma Picasso, Manolo Valdes, Philippe Starck, Hilton McConnico, Garouste and Bonnetti, as well as Annabelle d’Huart.
Characteristical features in Daum crystal products are their uniqueness as works of art, especially through the use of flamboyant intensity of colors and the harmony of lines.
