320 Below ice cream cafe chain has three locations in Singapore, one of which is at One KM shopping centre (11 Tanjong Katong Road). (UPDATE 2020: THE OUTLETS HAVE CLOSED)
The 320 Below locations operate as nitro cream cafe’s, which means they offer smooth ice cream, sorbets, and yoghurt that is freshly made right in front of you with liquid nitrogen.
Unlike with regular ice cream cafes, where ice cream mixtures are put into the freezer for hours before it’s ready to serve, nitrogen achieves the same end result in minutes.
With the use of nitrogen for freezing, the ice cream doesn’t get any fresher than that, and you don’t have to worry about additives like emulsifiers, stabilizers, or preservatives.
The quick freeze process also ensures that there is no build-up of ice crystals in the ice cream, resulting in a beautifully smooth texture.
Furthermore, freezing the ice cream quickly means that less amount of sugar is needed in the ice cream, and the nitrogen freezing (-320F) process kills any possible germs, resulting in a clean, healthy end product.
In addition to ice cream, 320 Below’s menu has sorbets, yoghurts, pastries, and waffles.
For ice cream, there are three categories of flavours: regular, premium, and alcoholic.
Regular flavours allow you to choose from a range of milk chocolate, peanut butter, coffee, salted caramel, green tea, banana, sweet potato, toffee, horlicks, earl grey, vanilla, apple cinnamon, lychee, nutella, and strawberry.
The premium flavours selection, meanwhile, contains dark chocolate, Thai coconut, mango, cookiedough, christmas horlicks, New York cheese, black forest, as well as tim tam toffee.
Finally, the alcoholic flavours range includes lychee Martini, rum & raisin, mojito sorbet, Bailey’s coffee, Kahlua tiramisu, tequila, and raspberry margarita.
There is also a toppings menu to enhance the culinary experience, featuring alternatives of rainbow sprinkle, Oreo cookies, cranberry, froot loops, marshmallows, choc chips, honeycomb, cherry, walnuts, roasted almonds, cookiedough, and Hershey’s choc sauce.
Among the taste alternatives, customer favourites are Thai coconut, horlicks, lychee, salted caramel, as well as dark chocolate.
