boCHINche, a great Argentinian restaurant in Singapore, operates within Chinatown neighbourhood, at 27 Club Street.
Open to customers since 2013, the restaurant, named after the word for ‘gossip‘ in Latin American Spanish, is a destination outlet to enjoy hearty Argentinian dishes, drinks, and wines.
On the menu are many courageous plays on big, bold flavours, especially meats cooked to perfection on the wood and charcoal grill, with an emphasis on rustic Argentinian street foods.
Highlights in the a la carte menu are, for example, Wild Snapper Ceviche (starter – “leche de tigre”, purple potatoes, pickled onions, chia seeds & radish), Bife de Lomo (Argentinian beef fillet steak, 300g), as well as Chilled Chocolate Fondant (dessert with raspberries, whipped mascarpone & hay ice cream).
Grilled Ox Tongue (with creamy aubergines, gribiche (herb egg mayo sauce), and pickled jalapenos).
In terms of ambience, the Argentinian restaurant is an escape that is all about playing up the feel of dining in within Buenos Aires – as showcased by contrasting blue-white walls against a chequerboard floor, marble surfaces against a mix of wooden chairs and leather stools – all brought to life with vintage lights and frames of contemporary Spanish art.
