British Hainan restaurant in Singapore has three locations available, including one outlet at 75 Carpmael Road.
Founded by Fred Puah, the restaurant serves delicious “Hainanese Western” dishes, showcasing the culinary evolvement of great Hainanese food since the British colonial days.
The place is a homage to the founder’s grandfather, who, like many Hainanese forefathers, worked on board British ships, and, along the way, honed culinary skills to create dishes like the signature Braised Oxtail Stew – representing best of both British and Hainanese food.

Other highlights in the menu include, for example, Braised Lambshank, Grilled Rosemary Lambshank, Hainanese Porkchop, Fish and Chips, Dijon Mustard Grilled Porkchops, plus Hainanese Chicken Cutlet.
In terms of ambience, the outlets feature interior decoration fitting for the heritage theme, with Carpmael Road location containing an exciting range of antiques and old photographs.
