Don Lechon, a popular Filipino restaurant in Singapore, is located within Geylang district’s Grandlink Square (511 Guillemard Road).
As the name of the place suggests, the restaurant, open to customers since May 2016, specialises in authentic spit-roasted suckling pig (‘lechon‘) dishes.
The affordably priced outlet’s amazing lechon gastronomic experience features aromatic, succulent meat, and crispy skin roasted to perfection.
Highlights on the menu include Chopped Lechon (large chunks of pig that has been spit-roasted over a flaming wooden charcoal grill with either classic sauce or onion sauce)…
…Lechon Paksiw (braised lechon with liver-based gravy), as well as Bopis (cubed beef lungs and pork heart simmered in garlic, tomatoes, herbs, onions and bay leaves).
In terms of atmosphere, the Filipino restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.
The outside seating has great scenic view of the Geylang River and a park, while the indoor seating is simple & cosy with soft overhead lighting and frosted windows.
