FRED Jewellery Store in Singapore (CLOSED)

French jewellery house FRED has one boutique in Singapore, located within The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (8 Bayfront Avenue). (UPDATE 2020: THE SHOP HAS CLOSED)

Founded in Paris, France, in 1936 by Fred Samuel, FRED offers beautiful jewelry that is inspired by the lights and landscapes of the French Riviera.

FRED Force 10 jewelry.

Fred Samuel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and although he spent his professional life as a jeweler in Paris, the colors and culture of South America remained with him, and that influence is still apparent in the company’s collections to this day.

Today, FRED is known for the brand’s unconditional love of gemstones, pearls, and golden light, and jewelry that is elegant, cheerful and creative.

The company’s signature color, a pink-infused white, is a nod to the type of pearls cultivated in Japan, which were Fred Samuel’s favorite.

If you’re a fan of Hollywood films, you might remember a sublime necklace of 23 heart cut rubies interlaced by diamonds, a FRED creation, that was offered by Richard Gere to Julia Roberts in the movie “Pretty Woman”.

Among the best selling FRED collections today is the Force 10 collection, a style started by Fred Samuel’s eldest son, who had a passion for sailing, in 1966, when he made a unique piece of jewelry to his wife from braided marine cables and a buckle.

Individual FRED jewelry is available in Singapore within categories of bracelets, rings, necklaces and pendants, long necklaces, earrings…
