Frieda German Restaurant in Singapore operates within The Capitol Kempinski hotel (13 Stamford Road).
Owned and managed by Kempinski Hotels, the restaurant celebrates Kempinski’s gastronomical origins, paying homage to Frieda Kempinski.
Frieda Kempinski was the only daughter of the hotel chain founders, Berthold and Helene Kempinski, who, together with her husband, Richard Unger, took over the reigns at M. Kempinski & Co when Berthold retired.
As a child, Frieda grew up in the entrepreneurial, warm, and welcoming environment of her parents’ original delicatessen & wine store, learning the spirit of generosity and hospitality in the process.
Taking control of the company, she made the brand name synonymous for gastronomy and entertainment as a continuation of the culinary revolution which her father initiated.
Today, the a casual dining eatery that knows how to entertain has the warm and cosy atmosphere of a traditional German restaurant, yet being at the same time modern with many fine details and luxurious refined style.
You can choose from main areas, offering everything from late breakfast in the pantry to a quick Abendbrot and fresh beer during the day at Frieda Day Bar to casual dining in the dining room and to a relaxing moment at the Frieda Garden.
Of these areas, Frieda Garden has a relaxing botanical dining area complete with palm trees, a bright garden venue beneath a glass atrium that is ideal for lunch with friends, complete with German wine and German beers on tap.

While there, you can choose your culinary experience from four restaurant menu alternatives: A la Carte Menu, Lunch Set Menu, Beverage Menu, as well as Desserts and Bar Snacks Menu.
On the A La Carte menu, for example, safe choices include crispy Pork Knuckle, delicious Veal Schnitzel, and Pretzel Dumplings.
