Jan & Elly English Language School in Singapore has three locations available, one within The Woodleigh Mall (11 Bidadari Park Drive).
The education centre specialises in teaching the English language through classes for young students from N2 to P6.
For N2 – K2, the English enrichment “Phonics” programme aims to foster a genuine delight for words with a style of learning – fun & engaging – that has stood the test of time. The Phonics programme helps children build a proper foundation of letter sounds so that reading will be a breeze later on.
“Creative Writing” programme, for kids in K2 to P6, the focus is on turning simple ideas into creative narratives, nurturing the children’s love for writing through interactive and fun sessions.
There’s also also an all-rounder programme called “English Made Possible” (P1 – P6), where the classes prioritise mastering the fundamentals of English language skills from grammar to vocabulary, and comprehension to writing – building the children’s confidence and skills to get a head start in school.
Each of the weekly Phonics classes are 60 minutes long, while the Creative Writing and English Made Possible classes are 90 minutes long.
An academic year at Jan & Elly Language School consists of four terms with 11 lessons in each term. Lessons not conducted on a planned holiday will be made up the following week or another scheduled day and time.
Experienced teachers at the education centre hail from England and Singapore, while the classes are kept small to optimize individual learning, at only 9 students per class.
