You can discover Lantern Rooftop Bar in Singapore from within The Fullerton Bay Hotel (80 Collyer Quay).
An urban oasis and coveted destination for the sophisticated chic, the place provides exciting panoramic views of the Marina Bay waterfront and the world-famous Singapore skyline.
Visiting the bar, which is complete with an infinity lap pool, green landscaping, and sensual beats in the background, you can enjoy from a range of gourmet snacks, fine champagnes, signature cocktails, as well as wines and beverages.
Cocktail highlight in the drinks menu include, for example, Classic Singapore Sling (London dry gin, lime juice, pineapple juice, grenadine syrup, Dom Benedictine liqueur, orange liqueur, cherry liqueur, angostura bitters, soda) and Imperial Berry Mojito (barrel-aged rum, lime juice, berries, fresh mint, la perruche brown sugar, Champagne).
Red Lantern Cocktail (gold tequila, watermelon, cucumber, lime juice, sugar syrup).
The stylish rooftop bar and pool derives its name from Clifford Pier’s historical Hokkien name – “Ang Teng Beh Tao” – translated as “Red Lantern Pier”.
This is because Clifford Pier, built in 1933, was the landing point for Singapore’s first immigrants and seafarers, where red lanterns were used to alert ships as they entered the harbour.
Today, to commemorate this heritage, the cocktail bar design features include a custom-designed circular bar counter that is shaped like a lantern with bronze metal “fins”.
