Taiwanese fried chicken restaurants chain Monga Fried Chicken has three locations in Singapore, including one within SingPost Centre (10 Eunos Road 8).
The chain (which has been in Singapore since 2019) was founded in Taiwan by Taiwanese celebrity Nono Chen and restaurateur Mingdao Liu, who named the restaurant after Wanhua district of Taipei, known traditionally as “Monga“.
In addition, fried chicken is one of the most celebrated street snacks in Taiwan, with the chain’s menu promoting the original Taiwanese flavours of the delicacy.
In terms of food, Monga is best known for their thicker-than-usual chicken fillets that are marinated with honey, dipped in batter (instead of dry flours), and fried to perfection.
Visiting one of the restaurants, highlights on the menu include Original Flavor Chicken Fillet, Seaweed Flavor Chicken Fillet, Chili Flavor Chicken Fillet, Juicy Chicken Nuggets, Sweet Potato Balls, Crispy French Fries, and Sweet Potato French Fries.
