Noka Japanese restaurant in Singapore operates within Funan shopping centre, at 107 North Bridge Road.
Open to customers since June 2019, the outlet, where the name translates as “farmhouse” from Japanese, is 75-seater farm-to-table Japanese restaurant alongside a 5,000-plus square foot rooftop urban garden.
The place, which is affiliated with Singapore’s urban farm and restaurant Open Farm Community, manages the rooftop urban farm, where more than 50 types of fruits, flowers, herbs, and vegetables are grown in partnership with Edible Garden City.
For the delicious dishes from Japanese culinary culture, the restaurant uses these and other local & regional ingredients, plus carefully curated ingredients from Niigata, Japan, as part of the preparation process, applying Japanese cooking techniques.

Highlights on the restaurant menu have in the past included such dishes as Barramundi Sakamushi (steamed barramundi, Asari clams, Edible Garden City kale, rooftop herbs, sea grape, ikura, sake, dashi soy butter) and Koji Ton-Toro (pork jowl marinated in rice fermentation culture, Edible Garden City kale, roasted potato, lemon garlic pepper sauce).
