SAGE Counselling Centre operates within Singapore’s Jurong Point shopping centre, at 1 Jurong West Central 2. (UPDATE 2020: THE CENTRE HAS CLOSED)
Established in 1991, SAGE Counselling Centre provides free face-to-face counselling to the needy elderly & their families with an aim to enhance the total well-being of older persons and their caregivers with a special focus on the psychological and social aspects of their health.
The centre, where SAGE stands for “Singapore Action Group of Elders”, also promotes the well-being of their customer older persons by listening and responding appropriately to their concerns and needs.
More specifically, at the clinical level, the centre offers interventions / remedial work. They also provide individual & group counselling, expressive therapy, case management, and referrals.
On the preventive level, SAGE Counselling Centre conducts public educational talks, workshops, and seminars within community facilities to create self-awareness which in turn promotes self-care and mental wellness of seniors.
They also participate in community & nation-wide activities & collaborate with other social service sector partners which work with older generation of Singaporeans.
