Sake Labo, a good sake bar in Singapore with sake retail & Japanese dining, is located within Chinatown area, at 29 Stanley Street.
Created by ENVY Hospitality Group, the place is a retail and dining concept that offers choices of sake and Japanese tapas (aka “Japas”) for all palates.
With a name where “labo” translates as “lab” from Japanese, the bar & sake retail store has an overall mission to bring great sake dining culture to Singapore as a culinary-cultural experience where you can combine sake drinking, japas dining, and retail shopping.
The small batch craft sake at the outlet is sourced from from 26 breweries in Japan, bringing them over via a meticulous cold chain logistics program in order to ensure that the products reach your table the same way they left the brewery.
To complement your experience, among the highlights on the “Japas” menu are, for example, Tatami Iwashi (layers of a classic Japanese snack that is served with Spanish aioli topped with Japanese Tobiko fish roe) and “Spider” Karaage (deep fried Japanese soft shell crab with Spanish Sriracha aioli).
Signature Truffle Somen “Japas”.
In terms of ambience, the sake bar & liquor store, consisting of a bar and mezzanine level with a curved overhead ceiling (adding character to the atmosphere) has been tastefully adorned with a medley of terracotta-coloured decor and wooden elements.
