Singapore Repertory Theatre in Singapore operates within KC Arts Centre, at 20 Merbau Road.

Founded in 1993 and supported by the National Arts Council, the professional theatre company is one of the leading English language theatre producers and presenters in Asia.

A carrying goal for the theater company is to provide a platform for Asian artists both on and off stage, and to give Singaporeans & visitors an opportunity to experience Broadway, the West End, and the richness of Singaporean culture.

In addition to its repertoire of original musicals like Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress, the theatre company has produced a number of critically acclaimed plays, such as ART, The Pillowman, and God of Carnage.

Among the cornerstones of the theatre company are international collaborations, including the likes of Royal Shakespeare Company’s King Lear and The Seagull (starring Sir Ian McKellen), Sam Mendes’ The Bridge Project, as well as 3 Titans of Theatre – a season of works directed by Simon McBurney, Yukio Ninagawa and Peter Brook.

They also produce the successful ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ season and are one of the biggest producers of children’s theatre in Southeast Asia, with shows like The Cat in the Hat, The Ugly Duckling and The Three Little Pigs.
