You can find Sourbombe Artisanal Bakery in Singapore from within Central Area, at 9 Penang Road.
Established by Genevieve Lee, runner-up of MasterChef Singapore 2018, the bakery offers sourbombes, which are an innovative, round-shaped mashup of sourdough and Italian Bombolini (Italian doughnuts filled with pastry cream).
The light, fluffy sourbombes offer unique, imaginative combinations of flavours and textures, treats that will add a little bit of ‘La Dolce Vita’ to your daily life.
Making of the sourbombes begins simply with a sourdough starter. After 18-24 hours of fermentation, the dough is naturally leavened, rolled, and fried in non-greasy coconut oil to golden perfection.
Finally, fresh off the stove, the bakery‘s sourbombes are then stuffed with fillings of specialty ingredients and sold to customers (with delivery service available).
