Supermama The Museum Store has two locations available in Singapore, one at Asian Civilisations Museum (1 Empress Place) and another within National Museum of Singapore (93 Stamford Road).
Founded in 2010, the company behind the shops collect, create, and curate beautiful designer objects, offering spaces to enjoy these items and purchase them to homes and offices to enliven everyday lives.
Adding to the selection of products available at the shops, the company works closely with local designers and Japanese craft facilities to produce contemporary Omiyage giftware, representing the best features of modern Singaporean culture.
National Museum of Singapore.
The shops are relaxing spaces of rest rather than typical retails stores, offering a place to dwell in the designs and have a proper conversation about the available range of items.
Many of the in-house design store collections have been produced by Japanese crafts facilities, such as Shotoku (glass) Duomo (embroidery), Chushin Kobo (cast iron), Legnatec (furniture), Okadaya (lacquerware), Taniguchi Aoya Washi (paper), Nousaku (metal works), Maruju (fabric), as well Kihara (porcelain).
