There are nine Sushiro outlets in Singapore to choose from for the Japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant chain, including one location at Tiong Bahru Plaza (302 Tiong Bahru Rd).
Established in June 1984, Sushiro is today the no. 1 conveyor belt (kaiten) sushi restaurant chain in Japan, with a network of more than 530 branches globally, including Singapore.
Each outlet, operating under the slogan “great taste at great prices“, serves about 80 varieties of delicious sushi and other Japanese dishes, enjoyed by about 150 million customers every year at the worldwide locations.
The restaurants have a two-tiered conveyor belt system that delivers both rotating and à la carte sushi plus side menu orders via a touch-panel ordering system.
You can get your personal a la carte orders to your table immediately via the ‘Auto Waiter’ when you order through the tablet and also, you can select from a range of parading fresh sushis from the ’Lane’ simultaneously.
To provide the best culinary experience, everything starts at the restaurants from careful selection of fish (all the fish are flown straight from Japan), followed fastidious freshness management for all ingredients…
…with sparing no time or effort for in-store preparation and doing everything possible to serve fresh and tasty sushi (with an automated system in place that removes any plate off the belt if it’s been sitting there for too long – after they have traveled 350m on the belt (measured by an IC tag), in other words).
Popular items on the menu are, among others, Fatty Tuna, Grilled Eel, Salmon with Basil Cheese, Mapo Eggplant.
In addition to the extensive sushi range, you can also eat from a side menu lineup that includes, for example, tempura, udon noodle, desserts, a variety of ramen, agemono (deep-fried side dishes) and sashimi a la carte.
With the Sushiro App, which you can download from Apple App Store / Google Play Store, you can track your waiting time and status of your reservation number. All you need to do is “check-in” at your restaurant outlet with the reservation number provided by the app. Then, the app will keep you updated on the progress of your reservation.
