Takayama Japanese restaurant in Singapore operates within OUE Downtown Gallery shopping centre, at 6A Shenton Way.
Visiting the restaurant, you’ll discover a menu that pays homage to the food culture in Osaka, Japan, which became known during the Edo period as “the kitchen of the world” and where local people, to this day, take great pride in their cuisine.
The menu is also inspired by Japan’s four seasons, with the features of the menu and cooking styles dictated by the freshest in season ingredients.
Signature dish for the restaurant, Abalone + Uni, is a celebration of this inspiration by the seasons, as are the available beverages, curated with the seasons in mind to complement the culinary experience.
In terms of ambiance, the main dining room features two kappo-style counters for seven and five guests respectively, as well as a two-seat and a four-seat booth.
In addition, guests can enjoy the exclusivity provided by the two private dining rooms, for six and eight guests respectively.
At the heart of dining at the restaurant is the spirit of omotenashi, or wholehearted Japanese hospitality, delivered in the elegant ambience of this exclusive kappo-style outlet in the midst of Singapore’s Central Business District.
