The restaurant, operated by Dashi Master Marusaya and where the name translates as “heaven” from Japanese, is a relaxed, casual dining place along the Singapore River that serves delicious traditional Japanese cuisine.
In addition to the creative varieties of signature sushi, roll sushi, thin roll sushi, and sashimi, you can also order rice bowls (don), Japanese meat dishes, seafood, salads, dashi dishes, appetizers, udon soups, and desserts.
Highlights in the menu include, for example, Beef Gyu Don (stewed Japanese wagyu beef and onions with half boiled egg rice bowl), Dashi Oden (stewed fishcake, egg, home made chicken ball, white radish with dashi soup), as well as Pork with Ginger Yakiniku (grilled Hokkaido pork with ginger sauce).
For the dining, the restaurant has outside seats offering pleasant breeze, cozy sofa seats indoors, plus counter seats where one can engage in conversation with the chef.
