The Other Room Marriott cocktail bar in Singapore operates within Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, at 320 Orchard Road.
Established in 2016 by Dario Knox and inspired by the darkness of the Prohibition Era, the bar was the first and currently the only place on earth where all the different spirits are created in-house by the art of finishing.
Using techniques pioneered by Master Distiller David Stewart in 1983 in Scotland (and today used by every respected distillery), the cocktail bar applies them to a wide range of products, finishing spirits that people are already familiar with, but in a way no one has ever tried before.
The visionary goal is to give the opportunity to discerning drinkers to try out their favourites, yet in a way they have never experienced before. The current selection includes over 300 different in-house cask finished products that you can experience with.
Highlights on the cocktails menu include Shaker & Straw (Bourbon, orange, thyme, hazelnut, angostura, strawberry), Symphony (amontillado sherry, oloroso sherry, honey manchego, citrus), and Old Spanish Pal (rye whiskey, palo cortado sherry, Campari, amontillado sherry, oloroso sherry, sweet Vermouth).
To go with the great drinks, the cocktail bar has a delightful Tapas Menu, serving great food all night long every day of the year.
From the menu, you can enjoy everything from a bit of Iberico Ham to even a great Sirloin Steak. The kitchen is open daily until 4am on weekends and until 3am on weekdays.
