Warehouse Club, a popular membership-based warehouse store in Singapore, is located within FairPrice Hub (1 Joo Koon Circle).
Opened to customers in December 2014 and operated by NTUC FairPrice, the store offers great savings on groceries and household consumables through bulk buys, value packs, and exclusive access to direct-import products & brands.
The more than 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse store uses a same type of business model to similar concepts (that are very popular) in the United States (like Costco and Sam’s Club), Japan, and Australia.
The primary reason for the membership-based store’s existence is their ability to pass on greater savings to shoppers, including operating in a lower cost suburb area outside the city, passing all of these savings directly to customers.
Special quality imports at the store are from, for example, Kirkland Signature (US), Carrefour (France), Tesco (UK), Cheesecake Factory (US), and Frosch (Germany).
In order to shop at the value megastore, you need to become a member.
Application for the 2-year membership, which has a fee associated with it (you can check the current price at the official website, for 2022: $50 for 2 years for public and $30 for 2 years for FairPrice members & shareholders and NTUC affiliated union members), can be done at the WHC Membership Counter on Level 3 of FairPrice Hub (1 Joo Koon Circle). 1-year memberships are also available.
