Yellow Pot, a popular modern Chinese restaurant in Singapore, has two locations available, one at Tanjong Pagar (Duxton Reserve – 83 Duxton Road) and another within Little India (The Vagabond Club – 39 Syed Alwi Road).
A concept created by The Garcha Group, the restaurant follows clean eating philosophy, with no MSG, additives, or artificial flavourings added to the foods.
One of the popular menu mainstays is Roast Duck, which is first marinated for two days in a fermented beancurd paste, then roasted over hickory wood, resulting in meat that is aromatic & tender with a delicious layer of crispy skin.
Beyond the Signature Roast Duck, other menu highlights include the likes of Sichuan Chicken Popcorn (small plate – bite-sized tender chicken pieces spiced to perfection in fiery Sichuan paste), Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns XO (seared in XO chili sauce, wild mushrooms, and snap beans)…
Crabmeat Ee-fu Noodles.
…Fried Sesame “Wuxi” Pork Ribs (prepared with yellow wine, soy paste, cumin, Sichuan peppercorns, chili and vinegar), Crabmeat Ee-fu Noodles (with a trio of organic mushrooms, fresh beansprouts, and fragrant chives), as well as Lemongrass Jelly (dessert – with fresh organic fruit).
Of the locations, the restaurant & adjoining bar at Tanjong Pagar – Duxton Reserve feature interiors in striking palette of black, gold, and yellow (created by British designer Anouska Hempel), with decor details such as large golden fans, heritage yellow pots of various sizes and configurations, and wallpaper featuring 18th century English indentures.
The Little India restaurant, meanwhile, has flamboyant red interiors curated by French designer Jacques Garcia, with premises shared with one of the world’s great whiskey bars, The Whiskey Library.
